What technology does FNB run, and what does it build itself?
FNB builds its customer-facing technology itself. The core is eStore, a proprietary e-commerce-style storefront at the center of the Clicks-to-Bricks strategy, and the Common app, which by March 2026 let clients apply for more than 50 consumer and business products in one application using AI-driven insights to cut keystrokes. Behind it, FNB kept critical data fields on premises in a self-built data hub and an enterprise data warehouse that its own tools can consume; CEO Vincent Delie says that gave it a head start on AI. The data hub now drives machine-learning deposit pricing and the Opportunity IQ lead engine, and will feed Insight 360, an AI customer-insight tool due by the end of 2026. In branches, interactive teller machines run at 150 locations, a January 2025 Pittsburgh pilot bundled eStore, an ATM, video chat and account opening in one kiosk, and FNB planned to put contact-center staff on the same system as branch employees. Its 10-K shows 4,205 full-time-equivalent staff at the end of 2025 and outside-services costs up 11.5% on technology and third-party volumes. FNB names no core-banking, cloud or AI-model vendor and does not disclose technology spend; its one disclosed fintech tie in this area is Atomic, for direct-deposit switching.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9]

Why does FNB build rather than buy, and what is not disclosed?
Delie's argument is that other banks offered 'a hodge-podge of disparate applications and origination systems', so FNB built a retail-style storefront and one application, and invested in 'data governance, building the data hub' so data could move within the company. He describes the stack as a cost-effective way to enter new markets.[2]
FNB does not name its core-banking provider, cloud provider or any AI-model vendor, and its 10-K says it 'may rely on AI models developed by third parties' without naming them. Technology spend is not broken out, and FNB declined to tell Banking Dive how much it has invested in the digital strategy.[8][2]

What is FNB's eStore?
eStore is F.N.B. Corporation's proprietary digital storefront, the center of its Clicks-to-Bricks strategy launched in 2016. It organizes products around customer goals and, through the Common app, lets clients apply for more than 50 consumer and business products in one application, online or in branches.
Does FNB use the cloud for its data?
FNB chose to keep critical data fields on premises in a data hub it built, so its own tools could consume them; CEO Vincent Delie says that gave it a head start on AI. FNB has not named a cloud provider, and its 10-K discusses cloud arrangements only as an accounting policy.
Does FNB use interactive teller machines?
Yes. FNB has interactive teller machines at 150 locations, where customers talk to an operator at an ATM-type kiosk, and is combining them with eStore. A January 2025 prototype in Pittsburgh bundled eStore, an ATM, video chat and account opening in a single kiosk.
Which technology vendors does FNB use?
FNB discloses few. Atomic powers direct-deposit switching in eStore account opening, and FNB invested in Atomic in April 2025. FNB does not name its core-banking, cloud or AI-model providers, and its 10-K says only that it may rely on AI models developed by third parties.
