OpenAI adds parallel agents to GPT-6 Pro in ChatGPT
For the head of model risk at a regional bank
OpenAI announced on Oct. 16 that GPT-6 Pro in ChatGPT can assign different parts of a task to multiple agents working in parallel, according to NeoTeo's report on OpenAI's release notes and an OpenAI community post.13
The sources do not say why OpenAI added the feature.13
Users can follow each agent's progress and open completed tasks to review the work, according to OpenAI's community post, which calls the model "GPT-6 Astra Pro" and says the feature is available to Pro users in the Chat tab.3
NeoTeo reported that OpenAI described the rollout as gradual for eligible Pro users, and that access in managed workspaces depends on workspace settings and rollout eligibility.1
NeoTeo reported that OpenAI's model guide lists GPT-6 Pro for Pro $100, Pro $200, Business and Enterprise plans, with Enterprise access also depending on workspace model permissions; OpenAI's help article separately says admins in Business and Enterprise workspaces may control which models members can use.12
According to NeoTeo's reading of the model guide, Business Standard and Business Premium share one included allowance across GPT-6 Pro and GPT-5.6 Sol Pro.1
One request in ChatGPT can now return the work of several agents, so review has to cover each completed task rather than a single answer. For banks and fintechs on Business or Enterprise plans, the workspace model permission setting decides whether staff can use GPT-6 Pro at all, which makes it a policy decision for admins and risk teams.
Our take. One analyst, one prompt, several agents each doing a slice of the work. Your model-risk policy assumes a person reviews one model's reasoning. Set workspace model permissions before the gradual rollout reaches your Enterprise seats.
Action. Model risk: Set Enterprise workspace model permissions for GPT-6 Pro and require review of each agent's completed task before outputs inform decisions.
What our records say
ChatGPT Enterprise's posture is that it sells banks ChatGPT seats for employees and API access to its models, and in 2026 added on-site engineering deals, a financial-services edition built with investment-bank design partners, and a separately funded deployment company.1 Products: ChatGPT for Financial Services is recorded with status Generally available.2 OpenAI Deployment Company (DeployCo) is recorded with status Announced.3
