Unit21 and Corelation link fraud cases to KeyStone core actions
For the fraud lead at a KeyStone credit union
Unit21 and Corelation, the core processing provider behind KeyStone, have joined forces to give credit unions on KeyStone one environment to detect, investigate, act on and report fraud and AML risk, according to a RegTech Analyst article dated Oct. 15.1
Until now, credit union staff have often spotted suspicious activity in one tool, then had to sign in to the core system separately, search for the member a second time and manually re-enter account details, RegTech Analyst reported.1 Under the new setup, analysts respond inside the case through Corelation's KeyBridge API, and the audit trail is generated as soon as the analyst intervenes, according to the report.1
Corelation provides a dedicated Unit21 AML Extract that each credit union's administrator or data team sets up in its own KeyStone environment; after an initial historical load, it pushes incremental updates on entities, joint account holders, accounts, cards and transactions roughly every five minutes.1
Unit21 applies the credit union's self-service rules and AI Agents to the KeyStone data and returns any required actions to KeyStone via the KeyBridge API, according to RegTech Analyst.1
Credit unions may also link their digital banking platform to Unit21 to support real-time decisions on logins, profile changes and payments.1
Corelation serves over 300 credit union clients, and Unit21 will attend and sponsor the Corelation Executive Forum in Chula Vista, California, next week; the source did not give pricing or terms.1
Credit unions on KeyStone can cut the manual re-keying between fraud tools and the core, and keep evidence, actions and SAR or CTR filing on one record. Data still arrives about every five minutes, so instant-payment decisions depend on the optional digital banking link.

Our take. Fraud moves in seconds, and the data feed arrives roughly every five minutes. Unit21 now lets your analyst freeze the card from inside the case, so the second login is gone and the clock is the slowest step left.
Action. Fraud operations: Ask Corelation to scope the Unit21 AML Extract and KeyBridge card-block, stop-payment and hold permissions for your KeyStone environment.
