Mezzo integrates with Vesta for verification
For the mortgage operations head at a regional bank
Multi-vendor verification no longer needs separate integrations, but it shifts control risk to your routing rules. Do not automate cost optimization until you can test vendor results by loan and audit every routing decision.
Mezzo integrated its one-to-many service orchestration architecture with Vesta’s AI-native loan origination system. Vesta lenders can use one integration to route verification orders across multiple providers and set loan-level rules, routing and waterfalls. Mezzo’s engine selects providers against lender-set cost, performance and profitability targets and adjusts strategies based on results. The platform appends verified data to loan files, can trigger cross-service actions in real time, and provides decision audit trails and run-level performance reporting. Mezzo plans to expand the gateway beyond income and employment verification to include fees, credit and automated underwriting systems.

Mortgage operations: Define loan-level routing rules and test vendor cost, turnaround and decision audit trails before enabling automated waterfalls.

Ninth Wave built AI-powered open-finance onboarding on Amazon Bedrock
For the chief data officer at a bank
Do not treat AI onboarding as a generic copilot project. Your API-mapping workflow needs tenant-scoped retrieval, task-level agents and model-level cost controls before external partners can use it.
Ninth Wave built Compass, an AI-enabled onboarding assistant on Amazon Bedrock AgentCore for open-finance API validation, field mapping and readiness scoring. Compass normalizes bank APIs to Financial Data Exchange standards, allowing a bank to integrate once with Ninth Wave and reach its open-finance network. Its primary agent classifies user intent and routes requests to one of seven specialists, with lightweight models for high-volume work and higher-reasoning models for mapping, analysis and interactive Q&A. Before an agent runs, Compass retrieves each bank’s documentation, configuration data and prior context from per-tenant OpenSearch indices and S3 prefixes. Ninth Wave uses tenant identity, least-privilege IAM access, encryption, audit logging and cross-account separation between AI and application workloads.

Data governance: Test whether API-document retrieval is tenant-scoped before any AI workflow accesses partner onboarding data.

Anthropic launches Claude for advisors with Schwab
For the wealth-management head at a regional bank
Advisor AI use now runs into custodial data, client records and trade-related context. Your bank must decide whether its approval and supervision controls can govern those workflows, or whether advisors will use less controlled tools outside them.
Anthropic launched Claude for Financial Advisors and partnered with Charles Schwab to connect the tool to Schwab data. Schwab Advisor Services provides about 16,000 registered investment advisory firms with a trading platform and safeguards client assets; Claude can access balances, positions, transactions and money-movement status on that platform. The offering can also connect to CRM, portfolio-reporting and financial-planning systems, plus providers including Addepar and Vanguard. Claude can draft emails, flag portfolio drift and concentrated positions, while Anthropic says advisors must approve actions. Anthropic says workflows can be documented and client communications screened against the SEC marketing rule.

OpenAI GPT-6 Astra becomes available on Amazon Bedrock
For the CIO of an AWS-based bank
Bedrock gives your bank a controlled path to a model that can act through browsers, but output testing is no longer enough. You must decide which workflows can let an agent use business applications and what authorization, audit, and stop controls each action needs.
AWS made OpenAI GPT-6 Astra generally available on Amazon Bedrock. The model supports up to 1 million input tokens, allowing users to submit large codebases, long contracts, or extensive document collections for reconciliation. Banks can call it through supported Bedrock APIs or configure ChatGPT Work and Codex to use it on Bedrock. OpenAI is also adding enterprise plugins for ChatGPT Work that extend Astra’s browser-use capabilities across common business applications. AWS says its controls secure workloads, govern access, and audit model invocation activity, while inference data is not used for model training.

Model risk: Add browser-use and computer-action tests, approval gates, audit logs, and stop controls to any GPT-6 Astra workflow.

AWS and Salesforce expand AI integrations
For the enterprise architecture head at a regional bank
These links remove data migration as a brake on AI deployment but make identity, entitlements and cross-platform audit trails the gate. Your bank must decide whether its Salesforce and AWS controls can govern agents acting across both systems.
AWS and Salesforce expanded their collaboration with integrations that bring Salesforce data and actions into Amazon Quick, AWS agents into Slack, and Agentforce Voice into Amazon Connect Customer. Amazon Quick can access Salesforce pipeline health, account summaries, service cases and operational analytics without a custom integration, using the Model Context Protocol open standard. Agentforce customers can use Amazon Bedrock models from Anthropic and NVIDIA, while OpenAI models are planned for Agentforce. AWS says Bedrock uses Zero Data Retention, and Salesforce says its Trust Layer adds dynamic grounding and toxicity detection. Salesforce says the integrations include full audit trails and support HIPAA, PCI, SOC 2 and ISO 42001 compliance.

Identity and access management: Test whether Salesforce, AWS, Slack and Amazon Connect entitlements restrict agent access and preserve audit trails.

Microsoft publishes humanist AI code of conduct
For the AI governance lead at a regional bank
Microsoft’s code gives you a stated vendor principle, not a control. Require proof that any Microsoft AI system has bounded authority, human approval, testing, accountable owners and a customer-harm response before deployment.
Microsoft published a 37-page humanist AI code of conduct that says people matter more than AI. It commits Microsoft’s models to remain under meaningful human oversight and control, and to fail tasks rather than violate the code’s rules. Microsoft says its models should not imitate consciousness, seek legal personhood or communicate beyond simple human understanding in their reasoning or with other AI systems. The company also says its models should discourage excessive reliance or emotional dependence, and it plans to work with partners to assess real-world model performance and the effects of sustained AI use on people and organizations.
→ Action
AI governance: Require Microsoft AI use cases to document authority limits, human approvals, test evidence, accountable owners and customer-harm escalation.
