Visa launches Intelligent Commerce Connect for AI-enabled commerce
Visa launched Intelligent Commerce Connect on September 4, 2026, to let businesses connect to AI-enabled commerce through a single integration. The platform provides secure payment initiation, tokenisation, spend controls and authentication through the Visa Acceptance Platform. It combines Visa Intelligent Commerce APIs for agent purchases using Visa cards with other networks’ APIs, allowing AI agents to use Visa and non-Visa cards. The tool makes merchant catalogues discoverable within AI platforms and handles orchestration and PCI compliance for enablers that process agentic transactions for merchants. Visa is piloting the product with AWS, Diddo and Payabli and plans to expand it to more partners later this year.

Nasdaq completes Dasseti acquisition and folds AI tools into eVestment
Nasdaq completed its acquisition of Dasseti on September 2, 2026, folding the firm’s AI due-diligence and manager-oversight tools into Nasdaq eVestment. Nasdaq announced the deal on July 23, 2026, following Nasdaq Ventures’ early investment in Dasseti in 2022; the companies did not disclose terms. eVestment receives data from about 4,800 asset managers for more than 1,200 asset owners and intermediaries, covering more than $90 trillion across 112,000-plus products in 109 countries. Dasseti processes questionnaires, RFPs, and monitoring for roughly 17,000 managers and general partners representing about $34 trillion. Nasdaq expects the combined platform to put screening, diligence, selection, and monitoring inside one environment and give managers one place to handle RFPs, questionnaires, and database updates.

M&T Bank deploys AI copilots to more than 15,000 employees
M&T Bank has deployed AI copilots to more than 15,000 employees for internal operations, customer service, software development and risk management. The bank uses AI to analyse call-centre conversations, draft reports, generate code, identify customer needs and flag portfolio risks, and is examining agentic AI for cybersecurity and fraud detection. M&T selected Microsoft Copilot after restricting employee access to public large language models and piloting the tool with about 800 employees; generative AI call summaries save about six minutes per call. Its 2026 Code of Business Conduct and Ethics requires approved AI tools, prohibits confidential, proprietary, customer, employee or regulated information in unapproved systems, and holds employees responsible for AI-assisted work. M&T also uses retrieval-augmented generation with internal, governed data and data-lineage software from Solidatus and Monte Carlo.
