On this site's AI disclosure index Zions scores 59.6 (#48 of 120 US banks), fourth in a nine-bank Western group behind Western Alliance (71.8), City National (65) and Columbia (63.3), and ahead of First Interstate (51.3), Frost (49.3), East West (49.2), BOK Financial (41.8) and Banc of California (34.7). What separates it is the foundation. Zions finished an 11-year replacement of its loan and deposit cores on Tata Consultancy Services' BaNCS in July 2024, and by September 2025 56% of its staff used generative AI.
