No. USAA sold the assets of its Investment Management Company, more than one million brokerage and managed portfolio accounts, to Charles Schwab in May 2020. Schwab is the exclusive provider of wealth management and brokerage services for USAA members under a long-term referral agreement, and nearly 400 former USAA employees joined Schwab with the accounts. USAA says it created mobile check-deposit technology in the mid-2000s so members could deposit checks from abroad. Navy Federal began working with Cube AI in January 2026, whose bots converse with scammers to identify the accounts they use, and says fraud attempts against members fell about 25% from 2024 to 2025. USAA Savings Bank selected Quavo's agentic AI platform for fraud and dispute handling in September 2025, and USAA's AI page says the bank uses AI to detect and prevent some types of fraud. Navy Federal Credit Union has run the Defense Department's Overseas Military Banking Program since winning the contract in 2023, operating 60 banking facilities and 275 ATMs in Europe and the Pacific as Community Bank; Bank of America held the contract for the previous 40 years. For new recruits, yes.
