## Who are Glacier Bancorp's competitors, and what are the alternatives?

Glacier's 2025 10-K, filed February 25, 2026, says it competes with commercial banks, savings and loans and credit unions in every market where it has locations, with internet-based competitors for deposits and loans, and with non-depository firms in securities, insurance and retail. It warns that fintech companies obtaining or acquiring bank charters may change its markets. Its strongest positions are in its home states: at June 30, 2025 it held 26.9% of deposits in the 20 Montana counties it serves, 15.3% in Wyoming and 10.8% in Idaho, but 0.3% in Utah, 0.9% in Arizona and 1.8% in Colorado. In Montana the main rival is First Interstate, also in Glacier's proxy peer group: it holds 26.93% of Billings deposits to Glacier's 11.16% and 22.07% of Missoula deposits to Glacier's 21.79%. U.S. Bank, Wells Fargo and Stockman Bank of Montana are the other large holders there. In Boise, U.S. Bank (22.76%) and Wells Fargo (19.24%) lead and Glacier holds 4.19%; Zions and WaFd also compete there. In Texas, entered with Guaranty in October 2025, Glacier is a newcomer among banks such as First Financial Bankshares. The non-bank rivals are internet banks and fintechs moving into banking.
