Flagstar's 2025 10-K, filed February 27, 2026, says it competes for deposits through its branches, private banking locations and mortgage offerings, that deposit pricing is set against other institutions including credit unions and online banks, and that it also faces fintech companies. For commercial loans it names the capital markets, larger financial institutions, commercial and savings banks, fintechs and credit unions. It operates about 340 locations in nine states, with footholds in the New York and New Jersey metro area and the upper Midwest.
