## What AI research, patents and partnerships does Bank of America have?

Bank of America does its AI research through its patent program. Its Fast Facts page puts the estate at about 8,600 granted patents and pending applications, more than 1,700 of them AI-focused (20% of the portfolio), more than half granted, up from 762 AI and machine-learning patents and applications in September 2023.
